INFORMATION

Congratulations to the Titan NJROTC Company for their excellence successes at the Regional Drill Meet in Chicago last weekend. They finished 3rd overall with specific placements in the following:

Armed Regulation: 5th Place
Armed Exhibition: 3rd Place
Academic: 2nd Place
Athletic: 5th Place
6th place Academic Individual Connor Nichols & 3rd Place Academic Individual Ethan Downey.
Great job, Cadets!
MATH CLUB: There will be a math club meeting after school today, Wednesday, March 1, in room B21.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH: In celebration of Black History Month, the social studies department is conducting an African American Firsts Scavenger Hunt. If you wish to participate, see library staff for details. There will be a prize drawing on Wednesday, March 1, for participants who successfully complete the hunt. You can participate in the hunt until the end of February.
BOYS STATE, JUNIOR LAW CADET DEADLINE - Interviews for Boys State and Junior Law Cadets will be held on March 1, starting at 3:00 p.m. If you want to be considered you must turn your application in to Mrs. Morrow in Career Ed before noon on Wednesday, March 1.

SHOW CHOIRS: Congratulations to Titan Express and Titanium on another successful season. If you have not seen them perform yet you can catch them on Thursday, March 2. This will be the last show choir home performance of the year. Come support Titan Express and Titanium at 7:00 PM in the Titan Theatre.

KEY CLUB
There will be a Key Club meeting Friday, March 3 in Mrs. Fanciullo’s room. Also, Project Linus is this Saturday, March 4th. If you have questions regarding this volunteer opportunity, please see Mrs. Fanciullo, Ms. Kroenke, or one of the officers.

PAPIO SOUTH GAME DAY
This Saturday, March 4th, come to the school library for a full day of board games and video games. This event is open to the public so tell your friends and family who may be interested. Come join 100+ Omaha gamers of all ages from 10AM-10PM this Saturday. $5 entry with food and swag for purchase. Gamers Unite!

TEEN TECH WEEK! March 6th- 11th
Next week is National Teen Tech Week! We will have lots of fun activities in the library with yummy snacks! Stop by and join in the on the fun for a chance to win gift cards!

Classes for March are registering now. Class dates: March 6, 8, 22, 27, 29 and April 3, 5, and 10.

SENIOR ADS
The yearbook is now accepting senior ad orders for 2017. Ads honoring individual graduates may be ordered online at yearbookforever.com or by email addressed to seniorpicspls@gmail.com. Prices are $75 for an eighth-page ad, $125 for one-quarter page, $225 for a half-page and $350 for a full page. See the attached flier for further details. Deadline is March 31.

COLLEGE OPPORTUNITIES

“I’M FIRST” SYMPOSIUM - Wednesday, March 29, 9:00 - 2:30 p.m., University of Nebraska-Lincoln This event will allow first generation college students to gain all the resources they need to help them get into college while forming a network of people that will help. The event is open to any student in grades 9-11. Attending will qualify students to be considered for the NEBRASKA Emerging Leaders tuition scholarship, worth $2000 and renewable for four academic years. Simpson College admitted student days: Access Simpson, Friday, March 17 or Friday, April 7 - a day designed for seniors who have been accepted for admission.

Junior visit day, Friday, March 31, for a day created specifically for juniors - a great way to learn about academics, campus life and the Simpson experience.

Become a Vet Camp Assistant! Oxbow Animal Health is currently seeking individuals to assist in their summer educational Youth Veterinarian Camps as Camp Assistants. Assistants will be responsible for supporting camp counselors and the Camp Director in all aspects of the week-long camps and will have direct interaction with groups of children ages 8-14. Camp season runs from June to early August and there are assistant positions available in several camp locations in the Omaha and Lincoln area. Depending on availability and qualifications, individuals may have the opportunity to support one or more camp locations.
