History of Building
Papillion La Vista South High School, home of the Titans, opened its doors in the fall of 2003. Proudly displaying blue and silver as its colors, the school was built as part of a $53 million bond issue approved in 1998 to address the district's continued growth and increasing student population.
Located at 10799 Highway 370 in Papillion, PLSHS was constructed as the second high school in the district to alleviate overcrowding at Papillion-La Vista High School. The school was designed with state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced science labs, a spacious auditorium, and modern athletic facilities.
Since its opening, PLSHS has quickly established a strong reputation for academic excellence and competitive sports programs.
The Titan mascot symbolizes strength, perseverance, and achievement – qualities that PLSHS strives to instill in its students across all areas of school life.
As part of the 2023 Bond project, PLSHS is set to receive significant upgrades. These improvements include an auditorium/theatre renovation, updates to baseball and softball complexes, and the addition of a flex classroom for health class and academy programs. These enhancements demonstrate the district's ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving PLSHS's facilities to support modern educational practices and extracurricular activities.
Embracing the district's motto "Be Known for Greatness," PLSHS has cultivated a culture of excellence, encouraging students to push their boundaries and achieve their full potential. Through its diverse programs, dedicated staff, and continual facility improvements, Papillion La Vista South High School continues to shape the future leaders of tomorrow.
